Practice Description

HealthEast is seeking a Site Medical Director, Family Medicine (with or without OB), Internal Medicine or Pediatric trained physician, to join our well established primary care clinic located in Cottage Grove, MN, a growing southeast suburb of St. Paul, MN. Join a group that is well respected in the community with loyal patients.  The clinic's primary care group consists of 7 Family Medicine physicians (3 providers that do Obstetrics) and 1 nurse practitioner.  Other services available in the clinic inclue podiatry, diabetic education, x-ray and lab onsite.

 

Key Administrative Responsibilities:

  • 0.3 FTE (approximately 10 hours/week) is dedicated to administrative responsibilities
  • Will work in dyad partnership with the Ambulatory Manager to support day to day operations of the clinic
  • Coaching & development of providers including conducting annual reviews and communication with primary care leadership
  • Co-Lead Staff and Provider meetings
  • Co-Lead the Lean & Value Based Improvement (VBI) work at clinic
  • Assist with resolution of patient complaints of medical nature
  • Recruitment of Providers and staff in partnership with Clinic Manager

 

 

Clinical Duties:

  • 0.7 FTE (approximately 22 hours/week) is dedicated to cllinical responsibilities
  • 100% outpatient clinic opportunity
  • Patient encounters average between 18 - 22 patients per day 

  • A fully integrated electronic medical record (Epic) is utilized
  • Clinic hours are 8:00 am-5:00 pm, Monday - Friday 
  • Opportunity to utilize a Scribe in the clinic
  • Patients are admitted to Woodwinds Hospital in Woodbury or St.John's Hospital in Maplewood

 

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an approved medical or osteopathic medical school

  • Ability to obtain a Minnesota license and DEA
  • BC in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine or Pediatrics
  • 2 years of practice experience
  • Previous Leadership experience required
